       Luthier,  Martyn J. Bailey   started out as a repairer and restorer and now the company he founded continues to offer  a complete repair and   restoration service for violins, violas, cellos and double basses. Since founding the company  I have started to offer a carefully selected range of accessories and continue as a maker to develope the new instrument making side of the business.  Whether you are a student, amateur or professional player, collector, museum or the trade, I offer the same high standard of work and service. No job is too small, nor  too large; I undertake work from minor adjustments and repairs to complete rebuilds, please see the Restoration Services section. A limited number of new handmade cellos and double basses are normally produced each year, please see the Instruments for Sale section where details can be found of these and Jay Haide Quenoil  and Jay Haide Panormo instruments which I have recently started to stock.
